Our Story
Who We Are
We are Edj Technology Inc., a corporation whose mission is to alleviate the burden of SSIs on both patients and the healthcare system by providing semi-autonomous wound care to thousands of patients. Our goal is to create a suite of modular products that can enable at-home, point-of-care monitoring for wounds, regardless of shape, size, or location. We want to put control back into patients’ hands.
Humble Beginnings
Our journey began when we were just 3 Master’s students at Columbia. Each of us knows someone who has been adversely impacted by a wound infection, so we banded together with this mission, and spun our startup out of a class we took together during our Master’s program. IRly went through several different iterations, withstood many afternoons of re-soldering, re-iterating, and re-imagining before its current state. We lovingly named it IRly because it puts the “I” in early detection.
